Since when does GABO:mi have experience with project management of research projects?
- Since 1982, we attend to large research projects, initially in the IT and telecommunication sectors mainly.
- Since 1998, we have looked after national integrated research projects funded by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) in the medical field.
- Since 2003, GABO:mi acts as a partner for project management in European research projects (FP6, FP7, IMI, EAHC).

Birgit Fuchs and Dieter Schuster
GABO:mi is a privately owned, medium-sized company. Dieter Schuster and Birgit Fuchs are shareholders in equal parts, and both constitute the executive board of GABO:mi. This ensures quick decisions, meaning that we respond in a quick, direct, and non-bureaucratic manner to our clients' requests.

At present, GABO:mi employs 21 graduates with majors in diverse disciplines. All employees work exclusively as project managers of research projects.
What kind of education do employees have at GABO:mi?
We all hold academic degrees and have international experience. In addition, we gain further qualifications at regular trainings. It is important to us to be up-to-date both with regards to professional know-how and soft skills. This is what enables us to fulfill our management tasks within an international consortium.

a) During the proposal stage:

What does GABO:mi charge for its services?
a) During the proposal stage
GABO:mi fully supports you in making applications for EU subsidies. This service is free of charge, i.e. we take the same risk and thus work for the mutual success of the project from the very beginning.a) During the project
Once your project has been accepted and is funded, we will be your partner for project management (no sub-contracting!). Our costs will be covered by the subsidy amount. For the European Commission, project management is an integral part of a successful research project. Management costs should be taken into account with up to 7% of the total subsidy amount.
